What is an Energy Vortex? And How Travelling to these sites can 10X everything.
Forget your beach holiday, and come receive the upgrades available to you in these spots...
I’m writing this from the Sonoran Desert in Arizona after a 3-Day Personal Pilgrimage to Sedona to visit the red rock landscapes and the land that’s known to be one of the most powerful energetic Vortexes in the world.
A lot of people have been asking me, “WTF is a Vortex and why would you choose to travel to these places to sit on mountains and meditate?”
Don’t get me wrong, I love a good beach holiday, but there is something truly magical about a wellness retreat that is 10X’d by the energies of a vortex.
Here is what I have personally been experiencing at this vortex, and why I believe anyone with a calling to lead others would benefit from travelling to these spots (or harnessing vortex energy where they live).
There are many places in the world that are considered Vortexes, some include Mount Shasta (California), Machu Picchu (Peru), Glastonbury (England), Uluru (Australia), The Great Pyramid of Giza (Egypt) and Mount Fuji (Japan) and many many more.

In the most simplistic terms, Energy vortexes are believed to be places on Earth where the natural energy of the land is particularly powerful, often associated with spiritual or healing properties.
Usually these spots have unique geological formations, heightened electromagnetic activity and/or breath-taking natural beauty.
People travel to these spots to enhance meditation, deepen spiritual awareness, and provide a connection to the divine or universal energy.
Although these vortexes are all over the globe (there is probably one within driving distance to you right now), the spots mentioned above and a handful of others have become internationally recognized as containing unique properties to provide elevated energetic experiences that facilitate access to higher consciousness.
In a seminar at my resort hosted by Pete A. Sanders Jr., an MIT graduate, 35 year Sedona local and brain science expert I learned the difference between an Upflow Vortex (also called Masculine or Electric) where higher perspectives and levels of consciousness are more easily accessible, and a Inflow Vortex (also called Feminine or Magnetic) where introspection and healing energies are amplified.
Pete spoke about the ability to harness Vortex energy from anywhere in the world, upflow by directing awareness to the sky and inflow by directing it down to the earth, ideally in a space where fresh water flows to support the healing and clarity (learn more about Pete and his incredible work here).
My experience of Vortexes
Sedona is the second popularized Vortex I’ve visited. The first was Lake Atitlan in the Highlands of Guatemala, in this Substack article I wrote about the entity of Presence Media first coming to me while visiting this this Vortex.
In my experience, the heightened energetic frequency of these vortexes give us access to higher levels of consciousness & information resulting in 10X creativity, intuition, healing and psychic abilities which can be applied to all areas of life, including our businesses and bodies of work.
Some other interesting qualities of Vortexes that I’ve experienced:
A general peaceful and pristine atmosphere, everything feels “light”
Loss of appetite, I need to remind myself to eat (which NEVER usually happens)
Poor sleep quality but never feeling tired
A general state of flow and synchronicity - plans literally don’t work, surrender is key.
Time moves extra fast
I experience high pitched sounds when in meditation which doesn’t happen for me regularly
A stronger connection to earth, nature, animals and in Sedona, minerals (I could literally sense the texture and spirit of minerals which is new to me)
When triggers present and are not responded to, reality shifts fast
An elevated collective consciousness in the area, for example both my spa practitioners were powerful healers, one removing a spear from my neck (which was blocking my throat chakra) and the other giving me an entire crystal energy healing (when I had booked in for a simple massage and facial).
Working with INTENTION is always important but particularly in Vortexes.
My intention coming to Sedona was PRESENCE, HEART & VOICEC; coming home with a deeper resting presence, a stronger open heart, and a clarity and confidence in my voice and expression as I step into new levels of my leadership.
Travelling to Vortexes for Leaders
For any growth-minded human who likes to meditate or desires to be more mindful, or for anyone who is looking to super-charge their creativity, intuition, clarity or healing… spending time in a Vortex is the difference between a slow & steady burn and a supercharged acceleration.
For leaders, especially in those the wellness and transformational space, but really any leader who is influencing change at a global level, Vortex travel should be an important part of spiritual and energetic “hygiene”.
For those who K N O W that their medicine, message and voice is here to impact millions, it is IMPERATIVE that we do the work to purify our vessels so we are not projecting trauma/ fear into the Collective.
The new era of leadership required on the planet is asking for a higher level of consciousness. We need to elevate above the noise, density and triggers (of modern culture, collective frequency & programming, and inhereted trauma that lives in our cells) and embody and truly lead from a grounded, heart-centered and sovereign place.
Energetic hygiene is essentially keeping our fields “clean” and our messages pure. Vortexes are beautiful places to access higher levels of consciousness and release all lower vibrational energies.
You don’t need to fly to Sedona or Machu Picchu to access vortex energies. By having an intention, grounding, being in your heart, and elevating your awareness beyond space & time you can access higher consciousness, wisdom and information to guide you in your life, business and leadership path.
If you’re curious about travelling to any of the sites mentioned above, in particular Sedona or Guatemala I’d be happy to share some travel tips.
